Charlotte Flair’s Wardrobe Malfunction: Star Jokes “I’ll start wrestling in a robe”

Charlotte Flair demonstrated her signature poise and humor when her ring attire proved no match for her powerful wrestling moves during a recent SmackDown event. The incident, quickly dubbed a "wardrobe malfunction" by social media users, saw Flair adjusting her top multiple times before cameras briefly cut away.

Flair, 39, wore a striking white studded bra, matching bikini bottoms, silver thigh-high boots, and a feather coat for her Friday, November 7, match against Nia Jax. Responding to a fan’s direct question about the mishap on social media, the professional wrestler retweeted the comment and lightheartedly quipped, "I’m going to start wrestling in my robe." This calm, humorous approach is characteristic of a veteran in her position. Flair ultimately lost the match to Jax, who received assistance from rookie wrestler Lash Legend.

Flair has been a fixture in WWE since 2012, accumulating 14 titles throughout her illustrious career. The demanding nature of her profession means a life on the road, a point she emphasized to Us Weekly in 2023. She explained that being a spokesperson for the SmackDown women’s division is a full-time commitment, often involving more than 275 days a year touring with no off-season. Her schedule frequently includes pre-match interviews to promote her segments, ensuring she is always ready for the spotlight.

The recent incident comes after Flair’s determined comeback from a serious knee injury in December 2023, which forced her to miss the 2024 season. She returned to the ring earlier this year, reflecting on the experience with British magazine Stylist in February. The injury gave her perspective and clarity, reinforcing her desire to choose the wrestler’s life "again and again."

Her meticulous approach extends to her appearance, especially after her injury return. Flair told Stylist she experimented with lighter makeup for her first night back, preferring a minimal look outside the ring. However, she quickly realized she appeared too shiny on camera. Over subsequent weeks, she tried different looks, eventually favoring a matte finish with a pop of eye color and plenty of glitter to complement her ring attire and robes.

Beyond makeup, Flair is a self-proclaimed "skincare addict," making skin health a top priority. She shared her routine with Stylist, mentioning her use of retinol. On days when her skin peels, she uses Eucerin’s Aquaphor soothing cream the night before a show, humorously comparing her appearance to Robin Williams’ pie-covered face in Mrs. Doubtfire. She credits the cream with effectively combating dryness and peeling.

Even her hairstyle has seen a transformation since her return, with Flair opting for an ombré look. She told the publication she wanted to come back with a different appearance, acknowledging the challenge of matching the color for her sew-in extensions but embracing it as part of her evolving on-screen persona.
