Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira bid an emotional farewell to MotoGP at his home Grand Prix in Algarve on Sunday, greeted by an appreciative crowd ahead of his planned transition to Superbikes.
The Portuguese rider appeared visibly moved, with tears in his eyes, as he stood beside his family holding a flag. Fans in the stands offered loud applause, marking the significance of his departure from the premier class.
Oliveira is set to switch to Superbikes at the end of the current season.

During the race, Oliveira finished in 14th position. He had started the Portuguese Grand Prix from 19th on the grid.
