Pisa Ends Winless Run, Secures First Italian League Victory

Pisa secured its first Italian football league victory of the season on Friday, breaking a lengthy winless streak with a 1-0 triumph over Cremonese.

The decisive goal came in the 75th minute from midfielder Idrissa Toure. This win marked Pisa’s initial three points of the current campaign.

Before Friday’s match, Pisa had endured a challenging start, registering six draws and four defeats across 10 league games. Coach Alberto Gilardino oversaw the team’s breakthrough victory.

The result came in the opening fixture of the league’s 11th round. It provisionally moved Pisa to 16th place in the Serie B standings with nine points.

Cremonese, meanwhile, remains in 10th position with 14 points.

Pisa’s Portuguese defender Tomás Esteves was unavailable for the match due to injury.

At the top of the Italian league, Napoli leads with 22 points. Inter Milan, AC Milan, and AS Roma follow closely with 21 points each.
