Portuguese Gymnast Vasco Peso Reaches Tumbling World Final, Teams Advance

Portuguese gymnasts have secured multiple qualification spots, including a coveted place in the tumbling final for Vasco Peso, at the Trampoline World Championships in Pamplona, Spain.

Peso qualified for the men’s tumbling final after finishing eighth in Friday’s preliminary round with a score of 54.100 points.

The Portuguese delegation also advanced to the final of the team competition, placing seventh with a score of 76.700 points.

In synchronized trampoline, the pair of Pedro Ferreira and Diogo Abreu qualified for the semifinals, securing ninth place with 51.600 points.

Another synchronized trampoline pair, Sofia Correia and Catarina Nunes, will continue competing in the women’s event after finishing 13th with 47.070 points.

Other Portuguese athletes in the men’s tumbling qualification included João Saraiva, who placed 27th (46.400 points), Francisco Rodrigues, who finished 26th (46.600 points), and Diogo Gomes, who was 40th (42.300 points).

Gabriel Albuquerque and Lucas Santos competed in synchronized trampoline, finishing 26th with 43.500 points.
