Brazilian esports organization Vivo Keyd Stars has renewed the contract of head coach Ludvig “SMILEY” Granquist, a move that secures the architect of their recent regional League of Legends championship.
The organization announced last Wednesday that Granquist will continue leading its League of Legends (LoL) main roster. He has been with Vivo Keyd Stars (VKS) since December 2023.
Under Granquist’s leadership, the VKS lineup recently secured the Stage 3 trophy in the League of The Americas (LTA Sul). They dominated the grand final against rival team RED Canids, winning the best-of-five series 3-0.
The championship-winning roster included Felipe “Boal” Boal, Pedro “Disamis” Gonçalves, Jeong “Mireu” Jo-bin, Matheus “Morttheus” Motta, and Adryan “Trymbi” Trybus.
Líder, referência, guerreiro, campeão e ídolo.

Despite their regional triumph, VKS faced challenges at the Worlds 2025 international tournament. The team recorded two losses in the competition.
They managed to stay in contention with a 2-1 victory in a crucial series against PSG Talon. However, their run ended after a 2-0 defeat to Bilibili Gaming, the current runner-up.
Granquist initially worked with the main team and also spent time coaching the academy lineup during his tenure.
