Esports giant TSM announced Monday it is exiting the competitive VALORANT scene indefinitely, marking the end of a five-year run and surprising the global gaming community.
The organization, known for its extensive presence in multiple esports titles, confirmed its departure via a statement posted on X, formerly Twitter, expressing gratitude to Riot Games, its players, and fans.

“After half a decade in VALORANT, we plan to exit the scene with no foreseeable return,” TSM said in its statement. “We would like to thank Riot Games for the continuous attempts to restructure the Tier 2 ecosystem for the better and for creating a game we all love.”
The decision comes shortly after TSM’s VALORANT team narrowly missed qualifying for the top-tier VCT Americas league. The team lost the Grand Final of the VCT Ascension 2025 tournament.
They fell 3-1 in a best-of-five series against ENVY, who secured the promotion spot. TSM had reached the final by defeating Brazilian team Team Solid.
TSM was a foundational presence in VALORANT esports since 2020. The organization is credited with pioneering watch parties and being among the first to establish a Game Changers roster for women’s competitive play.
The organization had dedicated the last three years to achieving Tier 1 status within Riot Games’ ecosystem. Their run to the VCT Ascension 2025 final represented the culmination of that effort.
The VCT Ascension tournament offers a pathway for top-performing teams from regional leagues to be promoted into the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Americas league, the highest level of competition in the region.
