Chinese smartphone brand realme has launched its new C85 series in Vietnam, featuring high-refresh-rate displays and large 7,000 mAh batteries aimed at the mid-range market.
Both the C85 Pro and C85 5G models come equipped with a substantial 7,000 mAh battery. This high-capacity power source supports 75-watt fast charging, enhancing user convenience.
The C85 Pro features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. It boasts a 120 Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals and a peak brightness of 4,000 nits.
In contrast, the C85 5G model uses a 6.8-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution. This variant offers an even higher 144 Hz refresh rate, targeting users prioritizing ultra-smooth motion.
Prices for the series in Vietnam start at 6,490,000 Vietnamese Dong for the C85 Pro with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, which translates to approximately $217 USD. The C85 Pro with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage is priced at 7,090,000 Dong, or about $236 USD.
The C85 5G, featuring 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, is available for 7,690,000 Dong. This is roughly $258 USD.
Both devices also carry an IP69 rating. This certification provides protection against dust and high-pressure water at temperatures up to 80 degrees Celsius.
The C85 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 chipset, built on 6-nanometer technology. The C85 5G utilizes a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip, also a 6-nanometer component.
For photography, both smartphones are equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera. They also include an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
The phones offer up to 8 GB of physical RAM, which can be expanded with up to 24 GB of virtual RAM. Storage capacity reaches up to 256 GB.
Both models run on the Android 15 operating system, overlaid with realme UI 6.0. This software suite includes various AI features and is promised continuous updates.
The C85 Pro supports 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, and features a USB-C port. It measures 8.09 millimeters thick and weighs 205 grams.
The C85 5G supports Bluetooth 5.3 and features a slightly thicker body at 8.38 millimeters, weighing 215 grams. Its “5G” designation and MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor indicate advanced network capabilities.
The series is available in two color options: Parrot Purple and Peacock Green.
realme, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, spun off from OPPO in 2018. The company has not yet confirmed plans for expanding the C85 series’ availability to other markets in Southeast Asia.
