Pawan Singh Retorts to Khesari Lal: “See Bihar 15 Years Ago”

Bhojpuri cinema stars Pawan Singh and Khesari Lal Yadav are engaged in a heated verbal exchange amidst the ongoing Bihar elections. The clash intensified as Pawan Singh, a member of the BJP, directly challenged statements made by RJD candidate Khesari Lal Yadav.

Pawan Singh responded to Khesari Lal Yadav’s criticism of the Bihar government’s development record. He urged a comparison between the state’s past and present.

Speaking to media in Patna, Singh said, “You should see the Bihar which was 15 years back, and the Bihar, which is now. Is there a difference or not? You will definitely be able to see what development is.”

Khesari Lal Yadav is currently contesting the Bihar assembly elections as a candidate for Lalu Yadav’s RJD party. He is actively campaigning in public meetings, frequently targeting the state government over various issues.

When asked if he would campaign for the BJP against Khesari Lal Yadav, Singh stated his readiness. He confirmed that such a decision would be made by the party leadership. He would follow any orders issued by the party.

Singh also affirmed Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s remark that “being Bihari is a matter of pride.” He fully agreed with this sentiment.

Khesari Lal Yadav is contesting from the Chhapra assembly seat in Bihar’s Saran district. This constituency was historically considered an RJD stronghold.

It is the area where Lalu Yadav began his political career and championed “social justice for backward classes.” However, the BJP has held the Chhapra seat for approximately two decades. The upcoming election will see the BJP striving to maintain its hold, while the RJD, backed by Khesari, aims to reclaim the seat.
