Bollywood veteran Dharmendra, 89, has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. News of his hospitalization caused concern among fans and the industry.
However, close family sources quickly reassured the public. They stated it is a routine, age-related health check-up.
An India Today report confirmed there is no cause for alarm. Sources indicated these check-ups are regular given his age.
“He is completely fine and there is no cause for concern,” a family source shared. “He is very happy and has just gone for his scheduled check-ups.”
The actor is reportedly in good health.
Despite his age, Dharmendra remains active in his acting career. He is set to appear in the upcoming film “Ekkees.”
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, “Ekkees” is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, Agastya Nanda, stars in the lead role.
Dharmendra was recently featured in the film’s trailer, which garnered attention. His son, Sunny Deol, also reacted to the trailer release.
His recent film credits include “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani” and “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Ulajh Jiya.”
