During an event in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, Kulkarni stated she had no connection to Dawood Ibrahim. She claimed he "did not carry out any bomb blasts" and "did not do anything anti-national." She added, "I am not with him, but he is not a terrorist."
Kulkarni further emphasized her lack of association, stating, "The name Dawood was never relevant. I have never met Dawood in my life."

In her clarification, Kulkarni specifically mentioned Vicky Goswami. She confirmed that she was associated with Goswami at one point. She asserted that Goswami himself was never involved in any anti-national activities.
Vicky Goswami is widely recognized as an alleged drug trafficker. He is believed to have long-standing ties to the D-Company. Kulkarni and Goswami were previously rumored to be married during their years spent in Dubai and Kenya. However, Goswami personally denied these marriage claims in an interview with India Today TV.
