Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have offered a delightful glimpse into their family’s autumn festivities. The couple shared new images of their children enjoying a pumpkin patch outing.
Meghan, 44, posted the photos to Instagram on Sunday, October 26. She captioned the heartwarming montage simply, “Happy Sunday ๐๐งก.”
The images featured their son, Prince Archie, 6, navigating a corn maze. Their daughter, Princess Lilibet, 4, was seen being pushed in a wagon by Meghan, alongside their haul of pumpkins.
Prince Harry, 41, also participated in the family fun. He guided the children through the farm as they searched for the perfect pumpkin.
After their autumnal excursion, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned to their Montecito, California, mansion. They then carved jack-o’-lanterns in their backyard.
The couple relocated to California from England in 2020. They jointly stepped back from their roles as active royals, choosing to prioritize raising their family away from intense public scrutiny.
Meghan, however, frequently shares insights into their family life. She recently discussed a dinner ritual they observe.
โItโs, basically, at the end of the day when you can say, โThis is my rose, this is the best part of my day and this is my thorn,'” Meghan explained. She spoke at a bookstore event in Summerland, California, on Wednesday, October 22.
She emphasized that not every day is perfect. The ritual helps to acknowledge both positive experiences and minor challenges.
Meghan also highlighted the benefit of this practice for young children. It helps open conversations beyond simple “yes” or “no” answers, fostering deeper connection.
In addition to daily reflections, Meghan maintains a unique tradition of sending secret emails to her children. A friendโs similar practice inspired this idea.
She explained on Jamie Kern Limaโs podcast in April that she sends random, un-framed photos and messages nightly. These are intended for Archie and Lili.
The children are expected to receive approximately 4,000 emails when they turn 18. These will then be opened by them.
Meghan described the content as, “Here is everything and every moment where I wanted to tell you how much I love you and how proud I am of you.”
Meghan also shares family milestones publicly through her Instagram account. She launched the platform in January.
“It feels liberating,” she told Emma Grede on her “Aspire” podcast in June. Her intention for the account is to share authentically and in real time.
She hopes her posts can bring laughter, enjoyment, or inspiration to others.
