OnePlus is set to introduce its Ace 6 smartphone, touting an industry-leading display, substantial battery life, and advanced durability features designed for high-performance users.
The Chinese technology firm confirmed several key specifications for the upcoming device, positioning it as the most powerful entry in the company’s Ace series. These details were released ahead of its official launch.
The Ace 6 will feature a flat OLED display capable of a 165 Hz refresh rate, currently the highest in the smartphone industry. This high refresh rate is designed for ultra-smooth motion display.
The display panel will support dynamic refresh rates for gaming, including options for 60 Hz, 90 Hz, 120 Hz, 144 Hz, and the peak 165 Hz. It will also integrate an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor for enhanced security.
Durability is a major focus, with the Ace 6 earning an IP66 / 68 / 69 / 69K rating. This certification provides protection against strong water jets, submersion in up to 1.5 meters of fresh water for 30 minutes, and resistance to high-pressure water at temperatures up to 80 degrees Celsius, alongside improved impact resistance.
The smartphone will house a massive 7,800 mAh battery, a larger capacity than the 7,300 mAh unit found in the companion OnePlus 15 model. It will also support 120 W fast charging.
However, unlike the OnePlus 15, the Ace 6 will not include reverse charging capabilities for powering other devices.
Other previously revealed specifications for the Ace 6 include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset built on a 3-nanometer process, offering a maximum processing speed of 4.32 GHz. It will be available with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of internal storage.
The camera setup features a 50-megapixel main rear camera, complemented by two 8-megapixel sensors. A 16-megapixel camera will handle front-facing duties.
The device will run on ColorOS 16, an operating system based on Android 16. Color options for the Ace 6 will include white, silver, and black.
The OnePlus Ace 6 is slated for release in China on October 27, 2025, alongside the OnePlus 15 flagship. Reports also indicate that an updated OnePlus 15R is expected to launch for the global market in the near future.
