Former Miss World Manushi Chhillar has responded to online criticism concerning her recent appearance in a new music video. The actress addressed users who questioned her career choices following the release of the song.
Chhillar featured alongside Diljit Dosanjh in the new track titled “Kufr.” While many social media users praised her performance, others raised concerns about her participation.
Critics suggested her appearances might now be “limited to minor dance shows.” Some users specifically asked if she had completed her MBBS degree. They also expressed wishes that she had continued her medical studies after winning Miss World.
One user commented, “From STS to becoming a doctor, to becoming Miss World, then aspiring film star, now limited to minor dance shows? Is this Miss World?” The sentiment reflected a perceived downgrade in her professional trajectory.
Manushi Chhillar offered a pointed reply to these comments. She stated, “I have always appreciated people who value education. But I have also learned that it is wise to respect every form of art and expression.”
Chhillar added, “The world needs both thinkers and creators. None of them are ‘less’ when they help uplift others. Every step, story, and song has its own purpose; none is less than the other.”
