Sandra Vergara, the adopted sister and biological cousin of Emmy-winning actress Sofía Vergara, is set to make her debut on season nine of Netflix’s real estate reality series, Selling Sunset. She officially joined The O Group in July 2025.
Vergara stated in October 2025 that her transition to real estate was a natural fit. She told Tudum that she "always had an eye for design and a love for people." The star added that she viewed the women of Selling Sunset as "incredibly dynamic," feeling a "completely different" level of excitement now that she is part of the cast.
Before joining Selling Sunset, Vergara had an established career in Hollywood. She held supporting roles in the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful and the 2011 horror film Fright Night.
Vergara also built a career as a model for major publications. She has appeared as a beauty expert on various talk shows.
Sofía Vergara’s parents, Margarita Vergara de Vergara and Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo, adopted Sandra when she was one year old. This adoption was confirmed by E! News in 2011.
Sandra shared a room with Sofía when they first moved to Los Angeles. However, Sandra clarified in 2011 that Sofía did not directly aid her career.
"Really there’s not much someone can do for somebody else," Sandra told HuffPost. She added, "To me, leveraging connections is a myth. She made it on her own. I’ll make it on my own."
Sandra noted the intense competition in Hollywood. She explained that sometimes getting a role comes down to luck, or even hair color and height.

Reflecting on her childhood, Sandra insisted she "never felt out of place" with her adopted parents or siblings. "My mom always made me feel like one of her daughters," she said.
Sandra confirmed a "normal" relationship with Sofía, acknowledging other forms of support. "She invited me to live with her in Los Angeles and that’s where I started to take off and choose what I wanted to do; that’s why I am grateful for everything."
Sandra began her entertainment career as a model for publications like Maxim and Esquire. Her film debut was in the 2004 Peruvian drama Días de Santiago.
She later appeared in the 2011 Hollywood remake of Fright Night and Bobcat Goldthwait’s 2011 political satire God Bless America. While establishing herself in the U.S., Sandra also acted in 40 episodes of the Peruvian telenovela Chico de mi Barrio.
One of her more recognized English-language roles was as Theresa Corazon in The Bold and the Beautiful in 2013. In recent years, Sandra shifted from acting to TV hosting.
This included a collaboration with RuPaul and Dr. Terry Dubrow on E!’s talk show Good Work, where they evaluated celebrity plastic surgeries. In 2019, she also served as a beauty expert and life coach on Yahoo’s digital series Hook’d.

Sandra has been publicly linked to The Boys actor Antony Starr. They attended numerous Hollywood events together in 2024. This included walking the red carpet at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles in September 2024.
Starr and Vergara were also photographed arm-in-arm at the Venice Family Clinic’s Inaugural Heart Gala in May 2024. Neither has publicly commented on their relationship.
In addition to her entertainment work, Sandra identifies as a "brain coach" on Instagram. She frequently shares lifestyle and sexuality advice on social media.
In a self-help video posted in June 2025, she advised, "Don’t walk around the world looking for proof that I don’t belong, because I’m going to find it!" She explained that feeling like "the world is against me" is a belief, not a feeling, stemming from past experiences.
Vergara also compared "on-again, off-again" romantic relationships to gambling. She explained that "when somebody is distant and then affectionate with you, your brain actually releases more dopamine trying to ‘win them over.’" She added, "That’s not love, that’s a slot machine."
Another recurring theme for Vergara is her criticism of "cancel culture." She believes it wrongly demands "perfection from the imperfect."
"Under cancel culture standards, almost everyone has done something that could lead to their cancellation," she posted on Instagram in June 2024. She concluded that it is "better to be a criminal, entitled to due process, than a public figure facing modern public judgment where your existence can be eliminated without a chance to defend yourself."
Netflix announced in July 2025 that Sandra would join The O Group. The platform teased that "new faces will bring new frictions" to the Los Angeles real estate market.
"The O Group felt like the perfect match," Sandra told Tudum in October 2025. She described the agency as "full of brilliant, dynamic, and people at the top of their game."

Ahead of season nine, Sandra teased on Instagram that she would bring "a little more sparkle, depth, and sass" to The O Group. The Netflix trailer for the new season shows her learning that "friendship is a very loose term" in the cutthroat real estate world.
"It’s sink or swim, honey," she said with a laugh.
