“Kantara: Chapter 1” is lighting up the box office, capturing hearts and cash worldwide. This Kannada superstar Rishab Shetty film is a big hit. Reports say it has raked in over 500 crore rupees globally. Yet, even a blockbuster can have a tiny slip-up. And social media, as it always does, found it.
Film buffs are known for their sharp eyes, like detectives on a mission. They love finding little mistakes in big movies. “Kantara Chapter 1,” with its epic tales and tribal culture, offers a rich world. But during the ‘Brahmakalash’ song, someone spotted something really out of place. It was a plastic water can, sitting casually near a temple. Now, the film’s story takes us back to the time of the Kadamba dynasty. Back then, plastic hadn’t even been invented!
This small detail quickly became a big deal online. Screenshots of the scene zipped around, and people had a field day. One user playfully wrote, “I just learned that the Kadambas were the first to use plastic water cans.” Others questioned how such an obvious error made it into a movie. Some fans called it an editing blunder. A few felt sad that this mistake popped up in such a beautifully made film. Still, many defended the director’s hard work, seeing it as a simple human oversight.

Meanwhile, Gulshan Devaiah, who plays Raja Kulashekhara in the film, weighed in on a different kind of buzz. Recently, during a screening of “Kantara Chapter 1” in Tamil Nadu, a person tried to act like a deity for the audience. Gulshan wasn’t impressed. He called these actions “cheap tricks” done just for “15 seconds of fame.” He added that if there’s no real honesty behind it, these stunts are pointless.
Gulshan praised director Rishab Shetty’s approach. He noted that Rishab presented the story with great truth and deep faith. This, he believes, is why the film connects so strongly with viewers. Gulshan explained that Rishab himself is a religious and faithful person. His sincere devotion really shines through in the film, making it resonate with audiences.
Rishab Shetty not only directed the film but also played the main character, Berame. He shares the screen with Rukmini Vasanth, who portrays Princess Kanakavati. Jayaram takes on the role of Raja Vijayendra. “Kantara Chapter 1” serves as a prequel to the massive hit “Kantara” from 2022. It continues to charm audiences by blending faith, folklore, and a touch of mysterious culture. You can catch it in cinemas now, available in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Bengali.
