FURIA, the lone Brazilian team competing in the ESL Pro League Season 22 for Counter-Strike (CS2), hit a tough patch on Sunday. They faced off against G2 and couldn’t quite find their footing. The series ended in a 2-0 loss for the Brazilian squad.
The competition saw G2, led by Nikita “HeavyGod” Martynenko, pick the first map, Train. They edged out FURIA with a score of 13-11. Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo’s team then chose Dust2 for the second map. Despite their pick, they again fell short, losing 13-8. This best-of-three match format meant FURIA didn’t score a single map victory.
