Rui Borges’ Squad Nears Full Strength for Napoli Champions League Clash

The midweek European stage calls, and for Rui Borges, it means fine-tuning his plans. The manager is getting his squad ready for a big trip to Naples. This Champions League clash is the second game in the new league phase format. Kick-off is set for Wednesday at 8:00 PM. Good news came after the Estoril match; the team picked up no new injuries. This leaves the coach with almost a full roster of players ready to go.

Only two players are currently on the sidelines. Nuno Santos and Daniel Bragança are still working their way back. Both are recovering from surgeries they had last season. They are putting in the effort with the club’s Performance Unit, aiming for a full return to action. Everyone else is available, which gives Borges plenty of options.

The national two-time champions won’t be heading to Italy until Tuesday. They will hold one final training session at their Academy grounds in the morning. After a well-deserved lunch, the team will pack their bags and fly out. They’re focused on bringing home a good result from a tough away fixture.
