Filmmaker Karan Johar is on cloud nine. His movie, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,’ just won a National Film Award. He couldn’t wait to share his excitement on social media. He even gave a shout-out to Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee, who were also at the event.
The film scooped up the Best Social Film award on Tuesday. Karan Johar traveled to New Delhi to accept the honor. President Draupadi Murmu presented him with the prestigious award. You could tell he was incredibly happy. After the ceremony, Karan posted his feelings online, mentioning his co-stars Shah Rukh and Rani.
Karan Johar Shares His Gratitude
In his Instagram message, Karan Johar wrote about his immense pride. He felt very honored to get the award for the most popular and entertaining film at the 71st National Film Awards. He thanked Apoorva and his whole Dharma family. He called Dharma Movies their “soul and backbone.” Karan also sent thanks to everyone who showed love for his film and its stars, Alia and Ranveer Singh.
National Film Awards also saw Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee in attendance. Both stars won National Awards for Best Actor for their own movies. Karan got to meet them at the event. He shared this in his post, saying he felt emotional with “Rani and Shah Rukh bhai.” He also mentioned a slight regret: he missed taking a photo with Shah Rukh Khan. Luckily, he did manage to snap some pictures with Rani Mukherjee, which he included in his Instagram post. He expressed, “I am completely emotional right now.”
