We often see familiar faces light up our screens on popular reality shows. But what truly brings a well-known personality like comedian Cyrus Broacha into the reality TV spotlight? It turns out, for him, it was a surprising twist of fate and a very real need for cash.
Cyrus, famous for his sharp wit, outspoken nature, and satirical humor, recently opened up about his experiences. He shared some candid thoughts and funny stories in an interview, including his time on Bigg Boss OTT Season 2. He revealed that joining the reality show wasn’t his first choice.
He admitted that he received offers for Bigg Boss every single year. Each time, he would turn them down because the idea of being on the show honestly scared him a bit. But things changed suddenly last June. His regular television show unexpectedly went off the air. This left him in a tight spot financially. His manager stepped in and suggested he finally take the Bigg Boss offer. This time, with no other options, Cyrus agreed.
Once inside the Bigg Boss house, Cyrus faced an unexpected challenge. He said no one told him the show would be entirely vegetarian. For a self-proclaimed non-vegetarian like him, this was a major problem. He found himself with almost nothing to eat, especially since even eggs were off the menu.
However, some of the housemates turned out to be quite helpful. Cyrus mentioned Falaq Naaz, Pooja Bhatt, Bebika Dhurve, Aaliya Siddiqui, and Jiya Shankar. They weren’t all strictly vegetarian themselves, but they also weren’t as desperate for non-vegetarian food as he was. They looked out for him. He even joked that maybe he should try “Pakistani Bigg Boss” next, hoping for better food options there.
Cyrus Broacha shared these entertaining and honest insights during a recent discussion on the ANI podcast.
