Emilie Kiser Returns to TikTok After Son Trigg’s Drowning: “Doing My Best”

It took courage for Emilie Kiser to step back in front of the camera. The popular online personality just shared her first TikTok video. She had recently opened up about the tragic drowning of her 3-year-old son, Trigg. It was a raw, honest moment for the 26-year-old.

“Hey guys, I don’t even know what to say,” Kiser began in her post from Saturday, September 20. She admitted it had been a while since she was online. “I’m not going to lie to you guys, I’m super nervous right now,” she shared. “I don’t really know if there’s any right way to start this video, but I’m just going to do my best.” Her honesty set a humble tone for her return.

Emilie had stepped away from social media back in May. That’s when Trigg, her oldest son with husband Brady Kiser, tragically drowned in their backyard pool. The digital star did make a brief return last month. At that time, she posted a longer statement about Trigg’s passing. Emilie and Brady also have another son, Theodore, who was born in March.

Wearing a necklace with “Trigg” written on it, Emilie spoke from the heart on Saturday. “I’ve missed being able to talk to you guys every single day,” she said. “I truly love this community that we have here, and I hope by coming back and sharing whatever I decide to share, I can reconnect with you guys and hopefully help anyone who’s going through a similar situation.” Her words showed how much her online community means to her.

Emilie admitted she had been “off these last few days.” She’s just trying to cope, taking each day as it comes. “I’m just doing the best I can every single day to figure all of this out, to figure out my life,” she explained. “I’m taking it day by day. I will do the same with my content.” It’s clear she’s navigating uncharted territory.

She shared that “the last few months have been really, really hard” since Trigg’s death. Emilie made it clear she won’t pretend things are perfect now that she’s back creating content. “This is truly therapeutic for me,” she revealed. “I miss talking to you guys, but I don’t know what that will look like exactly. I also don’t know how much I’m willing to share, especially about my grieving process.” Her journey through grief is a very personal one.

Emilie stressed that she is “still trying to process everything, the best I can, day by day.” She isn’t sure when she’ll be ready to share her full experience. “If you’re going through something similar, I just want to tell you I love you, I’m here for you, and I understand how hard it is,” she offered, showing support for her viewers.

Emilie wrapped up her emotional video with clips of herself cleaning and tidying her home. “I have some time right now, so we’re going to get this house ready for next week,” she concluded. “I’m excited to do it. It always feels good to start the week with a clean house, so we’re going to clean together. If you want to watch me clean, keep watching.” It was a simple, grounding end to a deeply personal message.
