The lights at San Juan’s Coliseum had just gone out. Bad Bunny had said his emotional goodbyes, filling social media with heartfelt messages. But like any great Latin show, a familiar cry went up: “¡Una más!” Or, “Just one more!” Even though his amazing run of shows in Puerto Rico wrapped up last week, the superstar from the island has teamed up with Amazon Music. They announced a final performance, which will be free and shown on TV, broadcasting live this Saturday. What many didn’t know until now is that this special show will stay available for 24 more hours. This means fans from all over the world can catch this much-anticipated encore.
What started as a personal send-off for his home island has grown into a global event. The original series of shows already held a lot of meaning. It was a direct thank you from the artist to his community. But the idea to add “one more” and share it globally wasn’t a last-minute decision. It had been brewing for months, kept largely under wraps.
Amazon Music, a company Bad Bunny has worked with before, became the main partner to make this extended farewell happen. About a year ago, some of their team, including leaders from the Latin division, traveled to San Juan. They met with Bad Bunny’s inner circle. Their goal was to find ways to take the artist’s vision even further. This wasn’t just about streaming a concert. It was about creating a project that would genuinely help Puerto Rico.
“Benito’s vision from the start was to help the island,” shared Rocío Guerrero. She leads Music for Latin Iberia at Amazon Music. Guerrero spoke about this in an exclusive chat with Us Weekly en Español. She explained that this new broadcast is just a piece of a bigger plan. “We sat down with his team to understand their goals. We wanted to see how our platform could support them. This global stream is only the beginning.”
Beyond just the concert, this partnership includes several projects. These range from improving education and technology to boosting the local economy. For instance, they will start STEM programs in public schools. Students will also receive Fire Tablets. Plus, they will update educational spaces. This will let them double as safe shelters during natural disasters.
One of the most noticeable projects is called comPRa Local. This is a special store on Amazon.com. There, people from anywhere in the world can buy products, books, music, and other items made in Puerto Rico. “It’s a way to support Puerto Rico from afar,” Guerrero said. She described this online shop as a window to give global exposure to local artists and businesses.
All these efforts are a team-up with Bad Bunny’s own foundations: Good Bunny and Rimas. Guerrero assured everyone, “He approves or is involved in everything that happens. His team acts as an extension of him. This project is truly personal to him.”
The show, titled “No me quiero ir de aquí: Una Más,” will air live on Saturday, September 20th, at 8:30 p.m. ET. You can watch it on the Amazon Music app, Prime Video, and the Amazon Music Twitch channel. As part of this plan for a worldwide audience, the show will also be available for 24 hours after the live broadcast.
What seemed like a final goodbye has found a brand new chapter. And this time, millions around the globe can join in for the closing applause.
