Windsor Castle, steeped in centuries of royal history, unexpectedly became a canvas for political protest recently. On a Tuesday evening, its ancient walls lit up with striking images. These were not scenes of old battles or coronations. Instead, they showed Donald Trump alongside Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender. This happened just as the former US President was set to meet King Charles III at the very same spot.
Before the projectors beamed their message, activists had unfurled large banners. These banners displayed the same controversial images near the castle grounds. Then, the protest escalated. Images of Epstein’s victims, along with related news stories, were also projected onto the castle’s towers. It was a bold move designed to grab attention.
Police officers at the scene quickly took action. They announced that four adults had been arrested. The charge against them was “malicious communications” for putting up the unauthorized display. Authorities called the event a “publicity stunt.” All those arrested remain in custody.
This dramatic protest did not appear out of thin air. It followed a significant disclosure on September 8th. House Democrats in the US revealed what they claimed was a birthday letter from Trump to Epstein. This letter was supposedly written more than two decades ago. The White House, however, has stated that the letter is not real.
The content of the letter, if authentic, is quite telling. It allegedly shows Trump calling Epstein his “friend.” It also contained the cryptic phrase, “May every day be another great secret.” This was reportedly written on a rough sketch of a nude woman. The revelation reignited long-standing questions about their relationship.
Trump and Epstein were indeed friends before Trump entered the White House. But their connection reportedly ended years before Epstein’s death in prison in 2019. Despite the passage of time, the alleged letter has thrown their past ties back into the political spotlight, sparking fresh debate.
