Arthur Returns to Grêmio from Juventus, Signs Midfielder Contract Until 2026

Arthur returns to Grêmio

Sometimes, a player’s heart truly calls them home. That seems to be the story of Arthur, the talented midfielder, who is officially back with Grêmio. The club recently announced his signing, a move that brings a familiar face back to the Tricolor faithful.

Arthur isn’t a new name to fans. He played a key role when Grêmio lifted the Copa Libertadores trophy in 2017. More recently, he had been playing for Juventus in Italy. However, he made it clear he wanted to return to his roots.

“My connection to Grêmio runs deep,” Arthur told Grêmio TV. He explained that when the club first showed interest in bringing him back, conversations began. It wasn’t an easy path. The situation was complicated, as it depended heavily on Juventus’s agreement. In fact, Juventus had received other offers that were better for both the club and for him personally.

But Arthur wouldn’t be swayed. He stood his ground, determined to make the move happen. “I fought to come back because this is my home,” he shared. He had many talks with Juventus, telling them how much he wanted to play for Grêmio again. His efforts paid off, and now he has returned to where his journey began.

The 29-year-old midfielder will now stay with Grêmio until June 2026. There’s also a possibility for his contract to be extended even further, potentially until December of that same year. His return brings a mix of experience and deep loyalty to the Grêmio squad.
