Guru Randhawa’s ‘Azul’ Trolled: Song Accused of Sexualizing Schoolgirls, Promoting Pedophilia

The digital buzz around Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa’s latest track, “Azul,” has quickly turned sour. While the song shot up the trending charts right after its debut, its music video has landed the artist in a heap of trouble. Many viewers are raising serious objections to its content. They claim the video misrepresents school-aged girls. Critics say it even compares these young characters to alcohol brands. This has sparked a wave of anger, with people sharply criticizing the singer.

The Video’s Content Under Fire

The video for “Azul” shows Guru Randhawa as a photographer. He visits a girls’ school to take a class photo. However, many viewers feel the video misses the mark on innocence. Instead, they found the visuals provocative and inappropriate. The women in the video are clearly adults. Yet, they are dressed and presented as schoolgirls. This creative choice has bothered a large part of the audience. They argue such scenes could negatively influence young people.

Trolls Target the Singer

Social media is now buzzing with heated discussions about “Azul.” One user, Sheen, voiced strong disapproval. They called it “wild how Azul is viral while people ignore that Guru Randhawa sexualized schoolgirls and compared them to alcohol.” Sheen added that “Promoting pedophilia isn’t edgy, it’s disgusting.” She ended by noting Randhawa “acts high and mighty shading others.”

Another user, Vanshita Verma, also slammed the singer in a video post. She expressed shock that “even in 2025, people don’t take the impact of social media seriously.” Verma questioned, “What will children think seeing this?” She highlighted how “pedophile behavior is being normalized” with alarming ease.

Guru Randhawa Stays Quiet

Despite the storm of criticism, Guru Randhawa has remained silent on the specific allegations. He did thank his fans for making “Azul” a trending hit. However, he has not offered any response regarding the strong objections to his music video.
