Buceo: Workers Find Cut Skeletal Remains at Construction Site, Prompting Forensic Investigation

Construction workers digging on a property in the Buceo neighborhood recently unearthed a startling find. They were making a pit for a new beam when their shovels hit something unexpected. The discovery happened on Wednesday, sometime between the morning and midday hours.

The site is located on Ramón Anador, close to José Batlle y Ordóñez. There, the workers found bone remains buried in the ground. They noticed some of the bones appeared to be cut. Acting quickly, they carefully placed the bones into containers.

Their next step was to call the Police. Officers from Operational Zone II responded to the scene right away. They then contacted Forensic Police to assist with the investigation. The house where these bones were found is currently empty.

Now, the police will take the remains to the Forensic Technical Institute. Experts there will conduct tests and examinations. It is not yet clear if the bones are human. That is what the forensic analysis aims to figure out.
