Can you believe it’s been two decades since the laugh riot ‘No Entry’ first hit the big screen? Actress Lara Dutta recently walked us down memory lane. She shared a heartfelt post on social media, giving fans a peek into her experience with the classic comedy. It feels like just yesterday this fun film, directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Boney Kapoor, brought so much joy, but it was way back in 2005!

Lara didn’t just post a simple ‘happy anniversary.’ She shared a vibrant movie poster and added a long, emotional note. The film boasted a star-studded cast including Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Celina Jaitly, Esha Deol, and Bipasha Basu, alongside Lara herself. It’s no wonder it became such a hit!

Lara Dutta’s Trip Down Memory Lane

Lara’s Instagram post truly opened up her heart. "Twenty years of ‘No Entry’ – wow, time really does fly!" she wrote, calling the film one of her all-time favorites. It was her very first comedy project, a big step for her at the time. She revealed a cool tidbit: she was first offered her role, Kajal, and the one Bipasha Basu eventually played. Lara mentioned telling director Anees Bazmee that Kajal was a completely different character from anything she had done before. Playing a suspicious, outspoken Punjabi wife was a real challenge. But she grabbed it with both hands and had an absolute blast bringing Kajal to life.

A Funny Filming Story

Amidst the reflections, Lara shared a hilarious behind-the-scenes moment. She recalled shooting the song "Aisa Jaadoo Dala Re" for the film ‘Khakee.’ Immediately after that, she rushed from the studio straight to the airport for a flight to South Africa. The minute she landed and arrived on the ‘No Entry’ set for her first shot, she found herself arguing with her dresser. The big question: why was her ‘top’ so breezy? It’s these little anecdotes that truly bring the magic of filmmaking to life!
