Britney Spears, at 43 years old, recently turned heads with her latest Instagram share. The pop superstar, famous for hits like "Toxic," posted a nearly naked photo on Saturday, August 23rd. She faced away from the camera, wearing striking black thigh-high boots. A single rose emoji discreetly covered her backside. The singer chose to limit comments on this daring post, but it certainly got people talking.
These days, Britney mostly uses her social media to chat with the public. It’s her main way of communicating. For example, back in March, she posted a fun dance video. She wore a black lace bodysuit and a wide-brimmed camel hat. The song playing was "Señorita" by her old flame, Justin Timberlake, from 2002. (Just a reminder, those two called it quits in 2002 after dating for three years.)
Life as a mom also features on her feed. In June, Britney shared happy photos from a reunion with her son Jayden, who is now 18. She also has another son, Sean Preston, 19, with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline. Speaking of Federline, he has quite a crew of his own. He shares Kori Madison, 23, and Kaleb Michael Jackson, 21, with his former fiancée Shar Jackson. Plus, there’s Jordan Kay, 14, and Peyton Marie, 11, with his current wife, Victoria Prince. The whole family made a big move to Hawaii in 2023.
Kevin Federline recently confirmed he’s ready to clear up misunderstandings about his two-year marriage to Spears. He plans to do this in his upcoming memoir, titled You Thought You Knew. Federline gave a sneak peek of the book, saying, "I reached my biggest dreams, faced devastating heartbreaks, and endured constant ridicule. All this happened while I became the father my children needed, dealing with constant emotional turbulence. If you’ve ever had questions, you’ll find the answers here."
His publisher, the audio company Listenin, described You Thought You Knew as an exploration of fame, parenthood, and the hidden costs of public life. They called Federline one of pop culture’s most misunderstood figures. The book is set to hit shelves on October 21st.
Another one of Britney’s ex-husbands, Sam Asghari, seemed to hint at Federline’s book in a recent chat with TMZ. On August 16th, Asghari joked with a smile, "[Kevin] was a professional father, so it would be the first book to tell you how to be a professional father."
Britney has walked down the aisle three times. First, she had a very short marriage to her childhood friend, Jason Allen Alexander. Their Las Vegas wedding at the Little White Wedding Chapel in January 2004 was annulled just 55 hours later.
The "Oops!… I Did It Again" singer then married Federline in June 2004, after knowing him for only three months. Their sons, Sean Preston and Jayden, arrived in September 2005 and September 2006. Britney filed for divorce in November 2006, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.
After being freed from a conservatorship that controlled her life for 13 years, Britney married her longtime boyfriend, Sam Asghari, in June 2022. Asghari, who is a model and appeared on the show Traitors, announced their separation in August 2023. He shared the news on Instagram, saying, "After 6 years of love and mutual commitment, my wife and I have decided to end our journey together. We will keep the love and respect we have for each other and I will always wish her the best. Things happen. Asking for privacy seems ridiculous, so I just ask everyone, including the media, to be kind and considerate."
On the "Trading Secrets" podcast in June 2025, Asghari explained why he insisted Britney sign a prenup to protect her money. "I wanted her to have a prenup," he said. "I wanted to make sure she was protected. Throughout her life, everyone — I don’t know a single person who has been in her life — hasn’t taken advantage of her. So it’s very sad. I wanted to make sure I was the person who didn’t do that." These days, Asghari is dating real estate agent Brooke Irvine.
