MIBR Qualifies for VALORANT Champions 2025 as Brazil’s Sole Team

Sometimes, the best wins come when you least expect them, or when you aren’t even playing. That’s the story for MIBR, the popular esports team. They just punched their ticket to VALORANT Champions 2025, the game’s biggest global tournament. This happened on a recent Saturday, quite remarkably, even though MIBR didn’t make it into the VCT Américas playoffs.

The team was out of the direct fight for a spot. Their journey to Paris, where the Champions tournament will be held, wasn’t in their own hands. They needed a perfect storm of other team results to fall into place. Luckily for them, everything worked out just right.

On that crucial Saturday, fans had their eyes glued to a specific match. Leviatán went up against KRÜ Esports. MIBR needed Leviatán, a team from Chile, to win. Leviatán delivered, beating KRÜ Esports with a 2-1 score. This victory, featuring player Eduardo “Sato” Nagahama, brought a lot of cheers.

For MIBR’s dream to come true, a few more conditions were necessary. G2 and Sentinels had to finish in the top three of their competition. The key was that KRÜ Esports could not end up in exactly fourth place.

KRÜ’s loss meant their elimination from the tournament. This outcome secured MIBR’s spot in the world championship. MIBR will now be the only team from their region heading to France. VALORANT Champions 2025 is set to run from September 12 to October 5. Meanwhile, Leviatán is still in the hunt. They need to finish among the top four teams in this current event to secure their own qualification.
