The Paramotor World Championship in France faced a somber moment this Friday. A 57-year-old Portuguese competitor tragically died during the event. The incident took place at the Chambley-Bussières air base.
The man’s paramotor crashed just after he took off. He was preparing for a training flight. The accident happened in a field within the Vernéville municipality.
According to reports from France 3 Regions, the pilot fell approximately 50 meters. Emergency services, including firefighters, quickly arrived. Sadly, they found the man already deceased.
