Kenia OS Reveals Vulnerable Crying Scene Almost Cut From La OG Documentary

Mexican superstar Kenia OS is riding a huge wave right now, hitting some of the biggest points in her career. She recently captivated audiences with two sold-out shows at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes. Now, her documentary, Kenia OS: La OG, is coming to movie theaters across the United States. This move truly cements her place on the global stage. Yet, even with all the bright lights and success, the artist admits the toughest part was letting people see her most vulnerable side.

In an exclusive chat with a prominent entertainment publication, Kenia shared that some scenes from the filming made her think twice. One part shows her breaking down in tears after a tough rehearsal, completely drained both physically and emotionally. “The only part I almost didn’t show is where I cry,” she explained. “It felt super vulnerable. But from day one, I promised the cameras would capture what was real, not just an act.” She added, “After rehearsals, feeling overwhelmed, I just let it out in front of my dancers and team. Sometimes I doubt myself, sometimes I feel like I can’t go on. But that’s me, for real.”

The documentary perfectly captures this push and pull between Kenia’s drive for perfection and her very human side. Usually, small errors in a live show can be easily forgotten. But with the cameras rolling on every single detail, she faced immense pressure. “Recording the entire performance and then putting it out there was really challenging,” she said. “There were no second takes or cuts this time around.”

Beyond showing her vulnerable moments, Kenia also highlights the lessons learned from working with other artists. She warmly remembers a recording session with Carla Morrison. Kenia describes Morrison as a guiding light during a period of deep personal reflection. “It was a beautiful experience creating with her, talking so openly, and truly connecting,” she shared. “She told me exactly what I needed to hear. She gave me a fresh view of myself.”

Kenia believes that continuously learning is what keeps her art alive. From her early days on YouTube to becoming a musical sensation with over 24 million TikTok followers, she has always prioritized being real. With each new chapter, she strives for something that makes her stand out, whether it’s her sound, her look, or her overall style. “I always ask myself what makes me different, what truly represents me as an artist,” she pondered. “Sometimes it’s a specific color, a certain way I dress, or even an attitude. These little things make me unique, and I love discovering more of them.”

This drive to always innovate has led her to work on a brand new music project. She’s only dropped hints so far, saying it’s inspired by an inner energy that has always been with her but she’s never put into a song. “It’s very clear to me now, and it’s almost finished,” she revealed. “This energy has always been inside me, but it hasn’t been in my music yet. Now, I want to fully embrace it and share it with everyone.”

In La OG, Kenia OS gives us more than just a big, dazzling musical performance. It’s a genuine look at the woman behind the pop star. She’s an artist who cries, doubts, and pushes herself. But she also finds an amazing source of strength in her fans. “My fandom gives me confidence; their love is so real and honest,” she asserted. “They’ve been there through every stumble, every mistake, and every win. Because of them, I feel complete and truly cared for.”

At just 25 years old, Kenia OS makes it clear that her music is more than just entertainment. It’s an act of honesty. And that raw truth, now showcased on the big screen, firmly establishes her as the essential new voice in Latin pop.

The film will kick off its US run with a premiere in Los Angeles on August 29. After that, it will have screenings in Miami, New York, Chicago, and several other important cities across the country.
