Being a public figure isn’t easy, and it seems the challenge starts young. Sitara Ghattamaneni, the 13-year-old daughter of superstar Mahesh Babu, recently sent out a heartfelt message. She needed to warn her many fans about a growing problem: fake online accounts.
Many fake profiles have popped up using Sitara’s name. They are active across various social media platforms. Seeing this, Sitara decided to speak up. She wanted to make sure her supporters knew the truth.
Sitara took to her Instagram handle on Tuesday to share a clear note. She told everyone to be careful about fake accounts. She explained that she found out many spam and fake accounts were made using her name. Sitara wanted to make it very clear to her friends, family, and well-wishers that she is only active on Instagram. This is her one and only official account. It is also the only way she connects with people online. She stressed that she is not on any other social media platform. She asked everyone to stay safe and not interact with any other account claiming to be her.

This isn’t the first time the family of Mahesh Babu has dealt with this. His wife, Namrata Shirodkar, who is Sitara’s mother, had previously issued warnings about fake accounts in Sitara’s name. She even filed a cybercrime complaint with the police. It goes to show how challenging it is to manage a public image, even for the younger generation.
Mahesh Babu’s Current Projects
While his daughter handles online issues, Mahesh Babu is busy with his own work. He is currently making headlines for his upcoming film, ‘SSMB 29’. This project is being directed by the acclaimed SS Rajamouli. Reports say Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran will also play important roles. The movie is still being filmed. Fans can expect it to hit screens around 2026.
Around the Industry
In other news, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap recently spoke out. He criticized the producer of the film ‘Chiranjeevi Hanuman’. Kashyap stated that the producer’s main goal was simply to make money.
