Huawei just dropped its latest tablet, the MatePad Air 2025. This device packs a serious punch with upgraded features, especially when it comes to being easy on your eyes. It uses new tech to cut down on screen glare by as much as 50%.
The MatePad Air 2025 comes in two flavors: a standard model and a special Soft Light Edition. The Soft Light Edition is the star here for eye comfort. It uses something called nano-extraction technology to drastically reduce bright spots by half. This makes everything on screen look clearer. Plus, it features a unique Cloud Clear Soft Light display. This screen works by scattering light and cutting down on reflections. So, you get a sharp view of your content, no matter how bright your surroundings are.

Both versions of the Huawei MatePad Air 2025 sport a big 12-inch LCD screen. It boasts a sharp 2800 × 1840 pixel resolution. What really stands out is its super-smooth 144 Hz refresh rate, which means 144 frames appear every second. This makes moving images incredibly fluid, which is perfect for gaming or just scrolling. The screen also has a 3:2 aspect ratio. This gives you 10% more horizontal space compared to standard screens, making it much easier to read documents and reports.

When it comes to looks, the MatePad Air 2025 takes a page from French macarons. Its body gets a special electrophoretic coating. This gives the tablet a soft, sweet color, almost like a dessert, with a hint of shine. You can grab it in one of four colors: Grass Green, Sakura Pink, Feather Sand White, or Smoky Gray.
The tablet itself is crafted from a single piece of metal. It’s incredibly thin at just 5.9 mm. Weighing in at only 555 grams, it’s light enough to carry with you anywhere without a second thought.

Huawei also updated its software system for the MatePad Air 2025. It’s designed to boost how well you get work done. The tablet comes loaded with handy apps like Huawei Notes and Tianshenghuihua. These apps team up with an AI digital assistant called Xiaoyi Intelligent Body. This smart helper can summarize documents, translate languages across different screens, and even understand your handwriting.
This premium tablet also works with the M-Pencil Pro stylus. It features a smart Hongmeng Star Ring button. This button gives you quick access to AI features or lets you turn speech into text in a flash.

For sound, the MatePad Air 2025 doesn’t disappoint. It has six speakers, all fine-tuned with Huawei’s own audio technology for top-notch sound quality. Connectivity is also a strong point. It supports Wi-Fi 7 and NearLink, Huawei’s special close-range wireless connection tech.
