It seems Taylor Swift has more than just the Kelce family captivated. Her famous feline friends are also winning hearts!
Swift recently appeared on the “New Heights” podcast. This show is hosted by her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who is 35, and his brother Jason Kelce, 37. During the Wednesday, August 13, episode, Swift opened up about how she introduced her three cats to Jason’s four young daughters. Her cats are named Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button.
Travis mentioned on the podcast that Jason had told his daughters the cats were poisonous. The girls are Wyatt, 5; Elliotte, 4; Bennett, 2; and Finnley, 4 months. Swift, who is also 35, wanted to prove that wrong right away.
“It was actually a huge challenge,” the “Cruel Summer” singer explained. “As soon as I had the girls around the cats, my goal was to show them the cats weren’t poisonous.” She knew just how to do it. “There’s no better way to prove it than to just give them Benjamin,” she said. “He’s my ragdoll cat, and he lets humans hold him just like a baby.”
Swift shared a sweet moment with one of the girls. “What I love most is when Bennie comes up to me and says, ‘I found Benjamin, I found him,’” she recounted. “And she’s there, lying with him, petting him and hugging him.”
“The cats are so good with kids,” Swift continued. “They’re like: ‘Meredith is here!’ And I’m like: ‘And you know what? She didn’t bite you at all, did she? And if she had bitten you, she wouldn’t be poisonous.’ They say: ‘That’s not what our dad said.’”
Swift playfully teased Jason about his dislike for cats. She joked that he even told the girls they would get a cat.
Jason replied, sharing his compromise. “There’s a chance they’ve convinced me to get a barn cat,” he said. “It won’t come inside the house. It will live off rodents in the field and protect our home.”
Swift quickly fired back with a laugh. “Those girls are going to sneak that cat into their beds every night!” she quipped.
The “Fortnight” singer also mentioned she has been spending time on new hobbies. She has been doing this since her ‘Eras Tour’ finished in December 2024. One of her favorite new pastimes is making sourdough bread.
Swift has been perfecting a special recipe for the girls. “I’ve been perfecting this one for the girls, because they like anything rainbow: Funfetti sourdough,” she revealed.
Jason’s eyes lit up at the idea. “Oh my God. That’s going to blow their minds,” he said.
“Yes, it will,” Swift confirmed. “They love sprinkles. We put sprinkles on everything when we’re together.”
