Isabela Ferrer: It Ends With Us Star, Blake Lively Praise, Lawsuit Witness Role

A new face is making waves in Hollywood, and her name is Isabela Ferrer. She just made her big screen debut, stepping into the role of a younger Blake Lively in the highly anticipated movie It Ends With Us. And from the sounds of it, working with the Gossip Girl star was a dream come true for Ferrer.

Ferrer couldn’t stop praising Lively, calling their first meeting incredibly warm. "She gave me the warmest hug I’ve ever gotten," Ferrer shared with People magazine in August 2024. "From that moment on, it was just a relationship full of warmth and friendship." For Ferrer, being able to connect with the person playing the older version of her character was super important. She simply called Lively "a very good person."

What really blew Ferrer away was how Lively handles everything. She’s got four kids, runs businesses, and juggles her acting and producing career. Ferrer expressed how amazed she was by Lively’s ability to manage it all so gracefully.

Isabela Ferrer is an actress with Irish and Puerto Rican roots. She finished her studies at the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama in 2022. Since then, she’s appeared in a short film called Fire Burning. She also landed a guest spot on the TV series Evil.

Here’s a closer look at the rising star:

Growing Up and Finding Her Path

Isabela Ferrer spent her childhood in New York City. However, she also spent a lot of time in the peaceful countryside of Northern Ireland, where her mother lives. This blend of city life and rural calm likely shaped her unique perspective.

Her College Days and Training

Ferrer is a proud graduate of the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama. While there, she wasn’t just hitting the books. She performed live jazz, acted in student short films, and even produced plays. She finished her studies there in 2022. Ferrer also took her talents overseas, studying at Arthaus in Berlin. There, she focused on creating theater together with others and on physical theater, which means using body movement to tell stories.

Beyond the Big Screen

Before landing her role in It Ends With Us, Ferrer was busy building her resume. In 2024, she was part of the short film Fire Burning. That same year, she had a guest role on the Paramount+ series Evil. She played a character named Astrology Girl.

Ferrer and Blake Lively hit it off right away on the set of It Ends With Us. Ferrer clearly sees Lively as an "angel" and a genuinely good person. She admitted she has no idea how Lively manages to balance her successful career with raising four children. Lively is a mom to daughters James, Inez, and Betty, and son Olin, all with her husband Ryan Reynolds.

"I mean, she is Wonder Woman. I don’t know how she does it. It’s insane," Ferrer told People magazine in August 2024. She added that Lively handles everything "with such grace."

An Unexpected Twist: Legal Involvement

The world of Hollywood can sometimes be complicated. Reports obtained by a prominent entertainment news outlet, Us Weekly, in August 2024, revealed an interesting development. The legal team representing Justin Baldoni claimed that Isabela Ferrer was present on the set during the filming of It Ends With Us. Because of this, they believe she is an important witness in a lawsuit filed by Blake Lively against Baldoni, who is both a director and an actor in the film.

Baldoni’s lawyer reportedly sent a subpoena, which is a legal request. This request asked Ferrer to hand over "all documents related to any discriminatory, harassing, retaliatory, inappropriate or unwanted action, conduct or statement" that happened during the movie’s production or after it was made. They also asked for any documents about complaints of harassment or inappropriate behavior on set. The subpoena also demanded all communication between Ferrer and Lively about the ongoing lawsuit. Finally, it asked for any talks Ferrer had with Baldoni himself or his partner.

At that time, Baldoni’s lawyer stated that someone trying to deliver the subpoena couldn’t find Ferrer. They tried to reach her at a Brooklyn address they believed was her home. "It appears that none of the individuals present at the Brooklyn location were familiar with Isabela Ferrer," the documents stated. Another attempt to find her in Sag Harbor also failed.
