The Telugu film world has been buzzing with whispers and worries. For eight days now, a major strike has kept things on hold. Amidst this uncertainty, a hot rumor began spreading like wildfire. It involved one of the biggest names in the industry, actor Chiranjeevi.
Reports suggested that Chiranjeevi had stepped in. The talk was that he met with the striking workers. These rumors even claimed he promised their demands would be met. Specifically, there was chatter about a 30 percent pay raise. People also believed he assured them filming would begin very soon.
But hold on a minute! Chiranjeevi himself just set the record straight. He spoke out against these claims, calling them completely baseless. He decided to clear the air directly.
The beloved actor took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to issue a strong statement. He noted that false claims were circulating in the media. Some people, pretending to be film federation members, were making these false statements. They claimed he had met them and promised to fulfill their demands, including a 30 percent wage increase. They also said he would start shooting right away.
It has come to my attention that some individuals claiming to be the members of the Film Federation have gone to media falsely claiming that I have met them and given an assurance that their demands regarding 30% wage hike etc., shall be met and that I will be starting shooting…

Chiranjeevi made it very clear. “I want to state that I have not met any member of the federation,” he wrote. He stressed that these are industry-wide issues. No one person can give a promise on their own to fix such big problems. He added that the industry’s governing body plays a key role in finding solutions.
Fans have been eager to see Chiranjeevi back in action. He was last seen on screen in the movie ‘Vishwambhara.’ Mallidi Vashist directed that film. Sahu Garapati produced it under the Shine Screens banner.
