Sporting Renews Betano Sponsorship: Four Seasons, B Team Included

Sporting Lisbon, the lions of Portuguese football, recently shook hands on a renewed sponsorship deal with Betano. This isn’t just a quick extension; it’s a commitment for four more seasons, showing deep roots in a successful partnership.

Betano, the online betting and gaming brand, will keep its prime spot on the main team’s jerseys. This has been a familiar sight for years. But there’s a fresh twist to this new agreement. For the first time, Betano’s name will also grace the shirts of Sporting’s B team. This comes right after the B team secured its place in the 2nd League, adding an extra layer of visibility to the renewed deal.

Both sides are beaming, calling the agreement a clear win. André Bernardo, a top administrator for Sporting, spoke about the deal. He sees it as a “prize for a winning bet” made by both the club and Betano. He pointed to the strong relationship built over the past four years. When the partnership started, Sporting was a champion team. Now, as they renew, Sporting is a two-time champion during this period. Bernardo believes this sets the stage perfectly for the next four years.

Julio Iglesias, representing Betano, echoed this positive view. He highlighted how their partnership has coincided with a truly “remarkable period” for the club. During their time together, Sporting indeed captured two consecutive national champion titles. They also added a Portuguese Cup victory to their trophy cabinet. Iglesias emphasized that this renewal clearly shows the trust and shared success between them. It also strengthens Betano’s dedication to supporting sports across Portugal.
