Kelly Osbourne’s Resurfaced Video Shows Ozzy’s Family Before Death

It’s a bittersweet moment for fans remembering rock legend Ozzy Osbourne. A touching video, filmed by his daughter Kelly, has recently resurfaced. It shows Ozzy enjoying precious family time just days before he passed away.

Kelly shared this intimate clip on her Instagram stories on Sunday, July 20. Reports from the Daily Mail on Wednesday, July 23, confirmed it was only two days before his death. The heartwarming footage captured Ozzy at the family breakfast table. He was with Kelly and his two-year-old grandson, Sidney. Ozzy looked relaxed, using his tablet, wearing headphones, and flipping through newspapers.

In the video, you can hear Kelly wishing her father a "good morning." She gently encouraged him to say it back as she filmed. "Dad, say good morning," she prompted. Ozzy leaned forward and softly replied, "Good morning!"

The iconic Black Sabbath frontman died this week at 76. He had been fighting Parkinson’s disease for some time. His passing came just two weeks after he performed his last show on his band’s farewell tour.

The Osbourne family released a statement to Us Weekly on Tuesday, July 22. "With indescribable sadness that words cannot convey, we report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne passed away this morning," the statement read. "He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family’s privacy at this time."

Ozzy is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon, whom he married in 1982. Their children Kelly, Aimee, and Jack also survive him. He was also a father to Elliot, Louis, and Jessica from his previous marriage to Thelma Riley.

The legendary musician publicly shared his Parkinson’s diagnosis during a 2020 appearance on Good Morning America. He revealed he had received the diagnosis the year before. Kelly was right by his side during that interview. She spoke about the pain of watching her father battle the illness. "The hardest thing is seeing someone you love suffer," she shared.

Kelly echoed this deep feeling in an October 2024 interview with Us Weekly. She opened up about her constant concern for her family. "My biggest fear is losing a family member," she told the publication. "Because we are so close and we are so near that we are nothing without each other."

In recent years, Ozzy faced many health challenges. One major moment was a surgery, which Sharon discussed on The Talk UK in June 2022. The former America’s Got Talent host emphasized the seriousness of the procedure. She said at the time, "This is really going to determine the rest of his life."
