His song “Kayi Baar Yunhi Dekha Hai” from the 1974 film ‘Rajnigandha’ earned him a National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer. Yogesh penned the lyrics for this beautiful track, and Salil Chowdhury composed its melody. It was truly a classic in its time.
Back in 1959, the film ‘Anari’ gave us the memorable song “Sab Kuch Seekha Humne.” This song became a huge hit. It won Mukesh a Filmfare Award for Best Playback Singer. The words were written by Shailendra, and Shankar-Jaikishan created the music.
