Infinix Hot 60 5G Launches: Dimensity 7020, 90 FPS Gaming, 5200mAh Battery, INR 10,499

The tech world often buzzes about the latest flagships, but sometimes the real story is where innovation meets affordability. Infinix, a brand known for packing a punch without emptying your wallet, just unveiled the Hot 60 5G. This new phone arrives after their Hot 60 Pro and Hot 60 Pro+ models, but here’s a twist: the standard Hot 60 5G actually steps up to 5G connectivity.

What makes this interesting is the choice of chip. The Hot 60 5G uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7020, a processor from 2023. Meanwhile, its “Pro” siblings, the Hot 60 Pro and Pro+, feature the newer MediaTek Helio G200 chip from 2025, but those are limited to 4G. It seems Infinix is playing a smart game, giving the standard model a key advantage in network speed.

The Dimensity 7020 chip is built on a 6-nanometer process. It has eight cores, with the fastest Cortex-A78 cores running up to 2.2 GHz. For comparison, the Helio G200 uses Cortex-A76 cores, also clocked up to 2.2 GHz. So, while the Pro models might have a newer chip name, the Hot 60 5G gets better performing cores and 5G.

Inside, the phone offers 12 GB of RAM. This includes 6 GB of real LPDDR5X RAM, plus another 6 GB of virtual RAM. You also get 128 GB of storage space. The Hot 60 5G runs on XOS 15, which is based on Android 15. Infinix promises two years of security updates, which is good news for long-term users. Gamers will like the HyperEngine 5.0 Lite tech, helping games run smoothly at up to 90 frames per second.

Visuals and Power

The phone boasts a large 6.7-inch IPS LCD screen. It shows crisp Full HD+ visuals and feels super smooth thanks to a 120 Hz refresh rate. The display can get quite bright, up to 700 nits. Tough Panda Glass protects the screen from scratches. An 8-megapixel selfie camera is tucked into the display.

Around the back, there’s a 50-megapixel main camera with a bright f/1.6 lens. It also has two other camera sensors, but Infinix hasn’t shared much detail about those yet. Powering everything is a big 5,200 mAh battery. It supports 18W fast charging. You can even use bypass charging, which lets the phone run directly from the charger, saving the battery during long gaming sessions. Plus, it can share power with other devices through its USB port.

Extra Features and Release

The phone is quite slender at just 7.8mm thick. It also has an IP64 rating, meaning it can resist dust and splashes from all directions. Other handy features include a dedicated button for Folax, an AI digital assistant. It also keeps the good old 3.5mm headphone jack and an FM radio receiver. Need more space? You can easily add more storage with a microSD card.

The Infinix Hot 60 5G will go on sale in India. You can grab one starting July 15, 2025, from Infinix’s official online store. It comes in four appealing colors: Shadow Blue, Tundra Green, Sleek Black, and Caramel Glow. The price is set at 10,499 Indian Rupees, making it a strong contender in the budget 5G phone market.
