Pankaj Tripathi Supports 8-Hour Shift After Deepika Padukone

Pankaj Tripathi is speaking out about the grueling working hours in the film industry. The actor thinks it’s time for a change. He recently shared his thoughts on the long working hours, saying it’s excessive to work 16 to 18 hours a day.

The conversation started when Deepika Padukone left a film due to disagreements over working hours. Pankaj Tripathi now supports the idea of an 8-hour shift. He told The Hollywood Reporter that he’s learning to say no to lengthy working hours. The actor believes that everyone should know their limits and refuse to work beyond them.

Pankaj Tripathi recalled times when his working hours were extended to 16 to 18 hours. He expressed his dissatisfaction, saying that even when he told the crew he was done for the day, they’d still ask him to stay. Now, he politely refuses to work extra hours. He tells directors that any remaining work will be done the next day.

The actor’s comments come after Deepika Padukone left the film “Spirit” due to disagreements over working hours and pay. Reports claim that Deepika had asked for an 8-hour shift and a hefty fee, which the makers rejected. The film’s makers have now replaced Deepika with Tripti Dimri.
