The apartment in question is located in the prestigious ‘Sky City’ building, which was developed by Oberoi Realty. This sprawling society spans an impressive 25 acres, offering its residents a tranquil oasis in the heart of the city.
Borivali, situated in the northwestern part of Mumbai, is known for its proximity to popular entertainment parks like Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Kanheri Caves, and Water Kingdom. The ‘Sky City’ building, where Akshay’s apartment is located, is a coveted address in the area. The apartment itself boasts a carpet area of 1,073 square feet (99.71 square meters) and comes with two car parking slots. Akshay had purchased this apartment back in November 2017 for 2.37 crore rupees. This time around, he’s made a neat profit of 183.54% by selling it for 4.35 crore rupees.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Akshay has sold an apartment in the same building. In January 2025, he sold another flat in ‘Sky City’ for 4.25 crore rupees. It’s worth noting that other Bollywood bigwigs like Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have also invested in properties within the same complex, purchasing several units in May 2024. The registration process for the latest sale involved a stamp duty of 26.10 lakh rupees and a registration fee of 30,000 rupees.
