Shah Rukh, Ajay, Tiger Face Lawsuit Over Pan Masala Ad

It seems like trouble is brewing for Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Tiger Shroff. The trio has landed in a legal mess over a pan masala advertisement. According to a report by ‘The New Indian Express’, the Jaipur Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum has issued a notice to the three stars regarding the ad. The complaint alleges that the commercial makes a false claim about the product, stating that every grain of the pan masala contains saffron – a claim that’s being questioned.

The advertisement, which features the tagline ‘Bolun Zuban Kesari’, shows the three actors proudly proclaiming that every grain of the pan masala packs the punch of saffron. However, the complainant, Yogendra Singh, has accused the stars of misleading the public by making false claims about the product. He has also demanded that the advertisement be banned, labeling it as misleading.

Singh’s argument is that as big stars, Shah Rukh, Tiger, and Ajay have a massive following, and it’s not right for them to endorse a product that makes false claims. The complaint highlights the significant disparity between the cost of saffron and the price of the pan masala, pointing out that it’s impossible for the product to contain saffron at such a low price point. With saffron costing around 4 rupees per kilogram, it’s implausible that a 5-rupee packet of pan masala could actually contain the expensive spice.

The case is set to be heard on March 19, and the three actors have been given 30 days to respond to the allegations. As the legal battle unfolds, it remains to be seen how the stars will defend themselves against the accusations of making false claims. One thing is certain, though – this controversy has already sparked a heated debate about the responsibility of celebrities when it comes to endorsing products.
