Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava Surpasses Pushpa 2

As another weekend comes to a close, Vicky Kaushal’s film “Chhaava” is headed towards yet another new box office record. Despite being in theaters for 17 days, the excitement for this film shows no signs of dwindling. In just two weeks, “Chhaava” has already made a significant impact at the box office, and over the weekend, it once again showed a strong jump, drawing in crowds to theaters.

However, the impressive earnings of “Chhaava” have come at the cost of another film that had received a highly positive response from the public with its trailer. Let’s take a look at what happened at the box office over the weekend.

Chhaava Leaves Behind Other Big Box Office Hits

Vicky Kaushal’s film had already collected an impressive 411 crore rupees in two weeks. Now, with the new weekend, the film has rapidly moved towards the 500 crore landmark. The weekend started with “Chhaava” earning 13.30 crore rupees on Friday. On Saturday, the film saw almost 70% growth, earning 22.50 crore rupees. Sunday saw another increase, with the collection reaching 24.30 crore rupees. This means that in its third weekend, “Chhaava” collected 60.10 crore rupees at the box office, easily crossing the 450 crore mark. Now, Vicky Kaushal’s film has earned over 471 crore rupees in just 17 days.

With its robust earnings in the third weekend, “Chhaava” has set a new top record. It is now the film with the highest earnings in the third weekend, surpassing even strong performers like “Pushpa 2” and “Stree 2”. Interestingly, all the films that “Chhaava” has surpassed in terms of third-weekend earnings are sequels, while “Chhaava” is a stand-alone film. To reach the 500 crore landmark, Vicky Kaushal’s film now needs just 29 crore rupees more. It will be interesting to see how many days it takes for “Chhaava” to achieve this total.

‘Crazxy’ Falls Prey to Chhaava’s Pace

After gaining popularity with “Tumbbad”, actor Suham Shah’s new film “Crazxy” had generated excitement among the public with its trailer. Suham Shah brings a suspense thriller story in the film, which has received good reviews and positive word of mouth from the audience. However, “Crazxy” is facing the brunt of being overshadowed by a bigger film like “Chhaava”.

Reports indicate that Suham Shah’s film was released on approximately 1200 screens. With a limited screen count, the film collected 1.10 crore rupees on its first day. The collection increased to 1.55 crore rupees on Saturday and 1.60 crore rupees on Sunday. This means that in three days, Suham’s film collected 4.25 crore rupees at the box office.

Given the screen count, “Crazxy” could have had a slightly better collection. However, the presence of a highly talked-about film like “Chhaava” in theaters is proving to be a challenge for Suham Shah’s film. Reports suggest that “Crazxy” was made on a budget of about 20 crore rupees, and the makers have already recovered their investment through rights sales, meaning they won’t incur losses. But to be considered a profitable film at the box office, “Crazxy” needs to collect at least 15 crore rupees.

As March progresses, the craze for “Chhaava” will also gradually decrease, and before the release of “Sikandar” on March 28, there are no other big Bollywood films scheduled. If “Crazxy” continues to attract audiences, it could become a successful film, providing significant motivation to producers like Suham Shah who are known for experimenting with unique content.
