Investigation Underway into Death at Playa Pascual Residence
Authorities in Saint Joseph are currently investigating the discovery of a deceased individual found inside a water well at a private residence in Playa Pascual.
Circumstances Surrounding the Discovery
Local law enforcement initially responded to the scene due to a missing person report filed at the end of December. Upon inspecting the premises, officers located a water well within a room, concealed by sheets and debris.
Further examination of the well, which measured approximately 8 meters in depth, revealed the presence of a decomposing body.
Recovery and Forensic Analysis
Firefighters and Scientific Police personnel were deployed to the scene to retrieve the body, which has since been subjected to forensic testing. These tests aim to determine the cause of death and confirm the identity of the deceased.
Prosecutorial Involvement and Ongoing Investigation
The Libertad Prosecutor’s Office in San José has ordered an autopsy and is conducting a thorough investigation, including the review of security camera footage and witness statements, to establish potential responsibilities surrounding the incident.
