This particular model is a tribute to the GT40 MK II that achieved a historic podium finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966, featuring the distinctive gold and red colors of Holman Moody, the team that played a crucial role in the GT40’s racing success.
Following the 1965 Le Mans race, Ford’s newly formed Le Mans committee commissioned Holman Moody to redesign the GT40 MK II. The team worked tirelessly to improve the car’s performance, testing various components, including brakes, suspension, and tire settings, as well as an experimental automatic transmission.
The 2022 Ford GT continues this legacy of innovation, featuring track-ready hardware, a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters, and a carbon fiber body.
The exclusive gold and red design of this limited edition supercar features distinctive Oxford White emblems with the number 5 emblazoned on the doors, hood, and rear spoiler, paying homage to the 1966 Ford GT40 that Holman Moody raced.
