New Year’s Eve Turns Violent in Rivera Neighborhood Incident

A violent altercation between two women occurred on New Year’s Eve in the Rivera department. The incident is currently under investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office.

According to sources from the department’s Headquarters, the incident took place on Eduardo Pachiarotti Street in the Cinco Bocas neighborhood during the night of December 31.

The Attack

A 30-year-old woman was stabbed in the chest by a 29-year-old woman using a 20 cm long kitchen knife. The victim suffered injuries and was taken to the local hospital for treatment.

Arrest and Investigation

The attacker was apprehended by the Police, while the victim received medical attention. The Prosecutor’s Office has ordered forensic expertise for the victim and collected witness statements.
