A construction worker died after a building collapsed in Brooklyn, the New York City Fire Department said. The worker was trapped after the collapse that occurred this Friday afternoon in the building in Borough Park, one of the areas of the Jewish community in the Big Apple.

Images from the scene showed crowds of lifeguards and onlookers flooding the street outside the construction site. Firefighters are already inspecting the collapse site and no further information has been released about the identity of the deceased worker or the causes of the building collapse.
