From October 1, 2023, ARD finally showed the fourth season of Babylon Berlin; Sky had already broadcast the crime series, which is now set in the final phase of the Weimar Republic, to its paying customers in October 2022. Above all, ARD also makes all episodes of Babylon Berlin available in its media library. Babylon Berlin shines there with great viewing figures.
As has been the case in the past, at the start of a new season of the successful series, not only the current episodes but also all episodes of the seasons that have already been released are available in the ARD media library. This means: You can now watch all eight episodes of seasons 1 and 2 as well as all 12 episodes of season 3 and the current season 4 in the ARD media library.
Update January 16, 2024: Contrary to what was originally announced by ARD, the episodes of all four seasons of Babylon Berlin are now available June 14, 2024 Available to watch in the ARD media library. As usual, the ARD media library does not offer the option of downloading the content, which is partly financed by broadcasting contributions, to a PC, tablet or smartphone. So if you don't have time to watch the episodes right now and would rather enjoy the series at your leisure at a later date, ARD offers no help.

How to download all episodes of Babylon Berlin
Open the mediathekviewweb page in the browser. In the search box above, enter: Babylon Berlin. The page will quickly show you all the relevant content. These are mainly the episodes of the four seasons, but also some additional reports and background reports. Note: The hit list does not display a few episodes for unknown reasons: Then search specifically for the missing episode by entering, for example, “Babylon Berlin Episode 8 Season 3”.
The episodes of Babylon Berlin are sorted backwards chronologically, which means: you will find the newest episodes on the first hit page and the oldest episodes on the last hit page. For the episodes you want to download, hover over the blue-gray “flap icon” on the far right and then click on the disk icon in the desired resolution.

Now the episode starts in the browser. Now right-click on the image and then select “Save Video As…”. Now select the desired storage location and save the episode there.

You can certainly have multiple episodes downloaded at the same time. However, it takes a while until all downloads are completely on your computer – depending on the bandwidth of your Internet access. Make sure in your browser's download overview that the downloads are still running and, if necessary, activate them again.

At the beginning of November 2023, the AGF presented the October viewing figures for the TV stations' media libraries, as the media service Meedia reported. Accordingly, all twelve episodes of the fourth season of Babylon Berlin ended up in the top 20 of the media library ranking. The first episode of the fourth season – the 29th episode after the total count across all episodes of all four seasons – even took first place in the media library ranking for the month of October 2023. Only the RTL broadcast “The Summer House of the Stars” and a few crime scene episodes were able to keep up.
By the way, Babylon Berlin was not only so successful with the general audience, but also with the specifically analyzed target group of 14 to 49 year olds. However, the RTL production “The Summer House of the Stars” was ahead of Babylon Berlin. If you just look at the media library views for ARD, Babylon Berlin dominated the first 12 places with one exception – only a single crime scene was able to squeeze in front of the Babylon Berlin episode with the lowest overall reach.
