The recent player auction for the 2024 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) noted that while some foreign players were unlucky, there were some names that no team showed interest in. One name in it is that of Australian left-arm fast bowler Daniel Sams, who was previously a part of IPL. Sams had registered at a base price of Rs 1.5 crore but given his previous performances, there was no team offer for him. Now Sams has definitely caught everyone’s attention by achieving a big feat in the Australian T20 League Big Bash.

The 16th game of the current Big Bash League season was played between Brisbane Heat and the Sydney Thunder team. Brisbane Heat definitely won this match by 15 runs but Daniel Sams, part of the Sydney Thunder team, definitely won everyone’s hearts with his bowling. Sams took four wickets in his last over of the match, becoming the first bowler to do so in the Big Bash League. Sams gave just one run in this over. In this match, Daniel Sams took 5 wickets for 30 runs in 4 overs. Because of this, Brisbane Heat were restricted to 172 runs in 19.4 overs.
