IPL 2024: If an uncapped player makes his international debut, incentives for franchises will be increased

BCCI will soon announce an incentive plan for the uncapped players sold in the IPL auction. This plan will be a great gift for those players who were sold in the auction as non-cap players, but later got or will get a chance at international games.

In fact, unlimited players in IPL are usually sold at low prices. But even if he continues to play international matches later, his salary will remain the same for three years, according to his contract. If he is released in the meantime, that is a different matter. BCCI has now come up with a new plan to save such non-international players from losses.

According to a report in Cricbuzz, under this BCCI plan, the franchise will have to increase their salary accordingly the more international matches played by a player who was auctioned as an ineligible player in the IPL auction. For example, if an uncapped player joins a franchise’s squad for less than Rs 50 lakh. But later, if he plays even one international match, the franchise will have to increase his salary to Rs 50 lakh.

If that player plays 5 to 9 international matches, his price will also be 75 lakh rupees. If this player has played more than 10 international matches at the same time, he can be sure that he will receive 1 Crore Rupees.

The auction for IPL 2024 will take place on December 19. Now there is only one day left until this auction can take place in Dubai. In such a situation, this plan by BCCI is a very good news for the uncapped players. This will benefit both India and non-international players.
